Artist  Statement:

As an abstract artist I follow my gut, no rules, I paint from a feeling. When I paint it is very spiritual, the world is only me, my canvas, and my colors. I love to see how the colors will mix together and watch the shape unfold before my eyes. I suppose I paint for me but I do consider what will work well in today's homes. Contemporary artwork that enhances a living space, sometimes it is a splash of color with golds, and texture to really make a piece say something. I enjoy being an artist, and my art is a living, breathing thing to me.

"My Angel"

Paradise

Oceans of painted blue,

fingertips of sage green,

opening a ray of light,

texturized with specks of whispering gold

hush cries, songs of lullabyes ,

swirling into the wind creating one single teardrop,

Snowcapped mountains, regal in the night,

a beacon for the lost and weary,

Visions of pineapples,

and coconuts upon my gestures of glee

a Paradise for you and me.
